Enabling & Sharing

First up, a little enabling.

I love sharing a good deal when I find one, especially an unexpected one! Today on a quick trip to Michael's [to pick up something they of course didn't have!] I managed to score some Sn@p Studio! Products including a new album in green, a 6x6 paper pad and a handful of page refills for said new album. They were all on CLEARANCE. As in, super cheap [cheapest thing I got was $1.29!] I'm sure they will be going FAST so head to your local store and scoop them up!

I'm planning on using mine for a combination of things including a recipe album, a crafty-art journal and perhaps even a mini Project Life scrapbook. They are ideal for Instagrams printed to 4x4 and for Project Life.

As seen on Simple Stories' website that I linked to above, they are revamping their product line, but as far as I can tell, the albums will still coordinate with the new products they are releasing. So, it's a win-win. And an inexpensive one at that!

Now for some quick sharing.

I've uploaded and listed a handful of new items in the Etsy Shop! More and more are on the way. Also a quick shout out to all those who are recently "Liking" me on Facebook, thanks for the love!

You can visit my shop by clicking on the link above or you can check out more photos & details by clicking on the name of the individual cards below.

Here's a peek at a few now available:

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. More later!

Project Happy Mail

I absolutely love being inspired by people and things around me. In the middle of 2012 I heard of an amazing project called

PROJECT HAPPY MAIL

and I decided that I needed to put my own spin on it. Now that it's 2013 I've decided this is the perfect time.

A few details...

I'm going to personally hand-craft 365 unique cards featuring a variety of themes; birthday, thinking of you, miss you, love you, etc. and I'm going to mail them to people that I know throughout the year. Who doesn't love getting happy mail? [Who doesn't love getting actual mail for that matter?]

Here's my unique spin. I'm going to make a duplicate of each card and list it for sale in my Etsy Shop. If you receive mail from me and want to pay the kindness forward, you can purchase the card I sent to you [or any other card for that matter] and Project Happy Mail will continue.

The cards will range in size and therefore in price too, but will still be cheaper than cards you can buy in the store and you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that I [a real person, not a machine!] spent time crafting it.

If you want to be involved on the receiving end of this happy deal, please make sure that I have your contact information. There's no charge to be involved and the only requirement is that you need to enjoy checking your mailbox and receiving fun, colorful mail. Feel free to send me an email at kerrycwills@gmail.com and include your birthday as well.

I've had several people ask me to send mail to their kids and while I love the idea, it's slightly easier if I send mail to people I know. Plus, do you really want your kids getting random mail from strangers? However, if you really, really want me to, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Each card will feature a label on the back with my Etsy Shop information as well as a number out of 365. Since each card is going to be different, I thought it'd be fun for people to say, "hey I got card #74!" and as an added bonus, it'll help keep me on track.

I won't necessarily be mailing out one card each day, but by December 31 I will have mailed out 365 pieces of Happy Mail. I may or may not sneak peeks of cards here on the blog, but I most likely won't reveal who the lucky recipients are.

If you've got questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm really looking forward to this challenge.

I hope you'll check your mailbox instead of your inbox...you might just have some Happy Mail.

Window Cards - Eatery Series

There are several things that I love about a good card.

It's gotta be colorful with a wide variety of patterns. It's gotta grab my attention with a clean design. Having something special that you won't find on a Hallmark card...like a window to the inside? That's just over the top on my list of favorites!

That's why I created a series of window cards in four different series.

Introducing...The Eatery Series!

Salt & Pepper

Frying Pan & Pancake

Eggs & Bacon

Mailbox Mini Series - October Release

Hello All!

So since my last post, I've been super crazy busy! Not only have I been brainstorming new ideas and projects, but I've also been signing up for local craft shows, creating new pieces and uploading to the Etsy Shop.

Today's release is something that I'm really, really excited about. I'm going to be going into more details of it on my personal blog [the background story isn't nearly as fun as the actual resulting products!] but here's the important details:

Each month I'm going to be releasing a series of mini cards. They will be available individually or as a set [of course by purchasing the set, you'll save some money!]

There will be at least two Holiday-themed cards in each release, as well as a variety of all occasion and everyday minis.

Some months will feature an add-on package that will include additional minis and fun things to include.

The whole concept is based around the mini mailboxes and I'll be adding newly decorated and jazzed up ones to the shop soon!

Wouldn't it be great to get mail for no reason at all? Or just because? Or to help celebrate a one day holiday all month long?

Think of the ideas besides just the mini mailbox...lunch boxes, briefcases, with a bouquet of colorful flowers, tucked in a purse or small gift bag...I could go on and on!

Here's the preview of all the cards being released this month and they are available here now!

Skeletons

Happy Birthday

The entire collection [October Release] is available here

For additional questions or requests, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks for stopping by...lots, lots more coming soon!

Customer Request!

A customer who purchased one of my cards from my Etsy shop asked if I could create her a custom project and I was thrilled to help her out.

She was interested in an exploding box type of mini album that she can add photos and embellishments to. She told me the colors [black, white, turquoise, purple, and a splash of pink] and patterns [chevron, damask, polka dots] that she liked and I got to work.

I'll be listing this for her as soon as I get an accurate postage price, but I thought I'd share the photos and a few details here.

The entire box. It has a lid to keep it all together, but when the lid comes off, the pages explode! The bottom of the box has the same square of pink patterned paper.

The inside of the lid and the pages as they start to open. There are three pages on each of the four sides of the box and both sides of each page are decorated and usable. This is the perfect kind of album for Instax photos, mini Instagram photos and mini mementos.

A corner view of the pages exploding. It's a great way to get a variety of patterns and colors without being totally overwhelming. Black and white photos would look so classy here! All the edges are inked in black and the corners are rounded. I love subtle details like that.

Another detail shot. I coordinated the page base color [solid cardstock] with a patterned paper in the same color. I think it looks awesome. I hope she feels the same way!

Looking in at the bottom of the box. The pink square matches the inside and outside of the lid, as well as the bottom of the box. The left and right sides of the pages match up while the top and bottom match up. This way, there's a nice variety of papers and colors, but there's also an order to it as well.

There are 20 page-pieces available for decoration, then the base of the box [that pink square visible in the above photo], the inside and outside of the lid. If you really wanted to, you could decorate the outside sides of the box as well. Overall, there's a ton of space available. Perfect for capturing little moments or a fun weekend away.

If you are interested in something similar, please feel free to contact me. I love requests and I'm more than willing to work with your style and color choices!

Lots more cards are going to be uploaded this week, I've been very busy!

Thanks for stopping by!

New This Week

Hello friends!

I've got lots of new crafty goodness listed up in the Etsy Shop this weekend. I've been really jazzed about a lot of new products that I've gotten my hands on recently and so my creative mojo is in overdrive. [I'm already thinking about Halloween and Christmas!]

Here's a preview of what's been listed. Click on the name of the card to take you to the direct listing. More photos and additional information are available in the individual listings.

Hello Handsome

Happy Birthday

xoxo

You're so special to me

Back to the studio I go...and remember, if there is something that you might be interested in, whether it be holiday cards [it's never too early to start thinking about them!] or something you saw on Pinterest, don't hesitate to contact me. I'd love to help!

Thanks for stopping by...and tell a friend!

More Neon Goodness!

Ever since I received a little box in the mail that had the amazing Hero Arts Neon Inks in them, I haven't stopped smiling...or plotting what I can make next.

I have to admit, this one is one of my favorites. New stamps that are bursting with awesomeness, literally...neon ink colors and clear, shiny gems. Oh yes please! [Add in a little washi tape and a fantastic greeting and we're talking incredible.]

This card [and 5 of his friends] are available in my Etsy Shop. I can't wait to keep creating with the Neon goodness...and the Hero Arts goodness...and the Washi...

Sending Happy Thoughts

The best way to send someone happy thoughts?

By sending snail mail! This card is a fantastic option for that idea.

A variety of patterns including polka dots [in two sizes!], chevron and plaid make this one snazzy card! The colors remind me of the beach...warm tangerine, watermelon pink, seaweedy green, aqua and a bunch of black to make it stand out!

My favorite element is the little banner behind the popped-up circle. Just a little bit of detail that says, "hey, pay attention to me!" The sentiment featured says "sending lots of happy thoughts your way" in black ink.

You can see more photos and details in the Etsy Shop, which is also where you can purchase this card!

Lots more coming later today, including some mustaches, some circles and a whole lotta love. Come back and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by!

So happy to have you in my life

Don't you love knowing that friends and family are thinking about you? I know I do. Those random text messages and phone calls always brighten my day! Sending this card would do the same for you, I'm sure.

A pretty floral pattern meshes with a turquoise blue tone-on-tone damask pattern in a clean design. The sentiment "so happy to have you in my life" is stamped in black ink in a typewriter font.

The blue, yellow, & grey color combination on this card is just classy, don't you think?

I also love the subtle detail of having just one element raised for added dimension. I think it really makes the sentiment stand out!
